"USB does not show any media in Disk Management"
“I just bought a Kingston 4GB USB stick. When the drive is plugged in, it goes through the usual device detection process and opens a pop-up window indicating that the device is installed and ready to use. The device appears in Windows Explorer as a removable disk (H:).
However, when I click on the device, I get a popup "Please insert a disk into device H:". In properties, free space and used space are all 0. Disk Management shows H: but says "No media" and no partitions. Does anyone have USB without media to fix Windows 7/8/10?
Possible causes for the USB Out of Media issue
When a USB drive shows "No Media" in Disk Management, it means the computer cannot communicate with the drive normally. It is an empty drive for the computer and you will lose all access to the data stored on the USB drive. In general, the possible causes of this problem mainly include:
1.A bad or loose connection between the port and the USB drive.
2.The USB driver is outdated or not properly installed.
3.Forcibly disconnect the USB drive without ejecting or safely removing the USB drive from the computer.
4.contagion of the virus.
5.MBR or PBR of the damaged device.
6.Insufficient power supply from USB port.
7.Connecting multiple USB drives to a computer causes USB port overload and then USB No Media issue.
8.There are some bad sectors on the USB drive.
9.Bad flash drive. A media error does not occur if the flash controller cannot communicate with the drive's NAND flash memory. Windows then treats the drive as an empty drive.
10The USB device is disabled in the BIOS.
